This is a picture of the yard behind the deck at the back of the house. You are looking at a fenced in area for horses and a pond that I had dug out for fishing and swimming. I stocked the pond with fish about 3 years ago. I shrunk the picture to a smaller size by using the "Canvas Size" tools. I wanted to maintain the 350 pixel width I used in the other four images in this folder. It was wintertime, snow on the ground, and dark because it was getting ready to snow again. The picture was fairly dark so I brightened it using the Brightness control in Fireworks. After cropping it I used the Bevel feature in Fireworks to get the Arts & Crafts feeling. Then I used the colorize feature that comes with the Hue/Saturation tool in Fireworks. I think the blue tind helps to give the picture a feeling of how cold it was when I took it.
