My sister went to Greece a few weeks ago and sent me this picture of a basement inside a Grecian monastery. There were a series of 14 monasteries on mountain tops, and land was a scarce comodity. When monks died, they were buried for three years. After their flesh and organs had disintegrated, the bones were dug up and placed in the bottom of the monastery on shelves. That allowed the monks to use available land for growing food. Lighting inside the monastery was poor so I decided to give it an eerie Halloween feel by ising the "invert" feature in Fireworks. I decided to size all five of my images to 350 pixels wide, but they vary a bit in height. This picture is 263 pixels high. I wanted to keep my density down in order to reduce the overall size of the images folder. I used Fireworks to crop and size my pictures.
